Blank City is a love letter to a long lost NYC. A period "in the late 1970's and mid 80's, when the city was still a wasteland of cheap rent and cheap drugs." From this time period came a lot of amazing art, from Basquiat to Jim Jarmusch to Television. This documentary captures the beginnings of independent cinema, of "No Wave Cinema" and the "Cinema of Transgression".
