TV TIME THURSDAYS is dedicated to one of the coolest Asians out right now, Dirty Beaches. Montreal's Alex Zhang Hungtai has got style for miles, kinda like a modern day Alan Vega or a Jim Jarmusch movie come to life. He's got a new album out called Badlands and it sounds as awesome as this dude looks. (via Analog Beach, Dirty Beaches' blog and Pitchfork)

I love the idea of a family band. Peaking Lights is a new post-dub band out of Madison, WI. The group consists of married couple Indra Dunis and Aaron Coyes creating dub rhythms with dreamy female vocals. Their new album "936" has been on repeat in my house as of late. Maybe it's me wanting warm weather to soon come...I guess this album will have to do. (Listen to some tracks on Altered Zones and Gorilla vs Bear)

Sorry, I've been slacking on the posting. Here's a collection of videos of The Gonz as skater, artist, and all around weirdo. There's old skate footage from Video Days and Real's Nonfiction plus some weird Gonz art videos. The music videos are of Jason Schwartzman's band Coconut Records which used Mark Gonzales footage while the second video was directed by Mark. Enjoy.

Aperture Photography And Variety Store in the Tremont area of Cleveland is a new vintage camera shop. They carry tons of old polaroids plus are one of the few stores to carry the Impossible Project's reissued Polaroid film. Great addition to Cleveland's arts scene. (via Selectism)
This one's for the ladies. Rodarte x Opening Ceremony's Roy Orbison sunglasses take a classic wayfarer frame and wrap it in old lady floral fabric. Amazing. (via Opening Ceremony)

For Opening Ceremony's Spring/Summer 2011 line, they took inspiration from the sands and silhouettes of Morocco. The men's collection is filled with gauzy fabrics and fantastic prints. Luckily, they decided to use the tribal and cork prints from their collection to make some ties. This is the perfect way to subtly inject some color and pattern to your spring wardrobe.
