On June 12th-13th, the Big Apple BBQ Block Party comes to Madison Square Park bringing the country's top Pitmasters to NYC.  This event is a BBQ lovers' dream. Tons of different styles of BBQ to sample from all over the country. Hopefully, there will be some whole hog again!

THE GRAPHICS: Cholo Writing

Dokument Press put out a great book called "Cholo Writing: Latino Gang Graffiti in Los Angeles in 2009.  The book documents the history of LA Gang writing from the '60s to present day.  I just took a look through it at my local bookstore, By and By.  Definitely worth picking up.

THE JAMS: Best Coast Mixtape

Best Coast just put together a mixtape for the website, Artist Advocacy, on songs she's been listening to on the road.  Check it here.

THE CHAIN: Giles and Brother Embedded Dagger Necklace

Some dudes might not be into jewelry besides a nice watch and a wedding band (for the old folks).  However, in the last couple years, I've been known to rock a gold chain now and then.  I love the simplicity of the Giles and Brother Dagger necklace.  This could get some serious play this summer.
